Sarah the Sockeye Salmon
This book describes the life and journey of Sarah the Sockeye, following her through all stages of the salmon lifecycle. Told in charming poetry, Sarah ponders her life and the changes she experiences. She learns and grows from the many encounters, both dangerous and exciting that she has along the way. Her life has meaning through the challenges she has overcome to continue the salmon life cycle. Dramatic and colorful collage artwork accompanies the poetry. This book is 24 pages long and perfect for both children and adults.A portion of the proceeds will directly support the Salmon Center's education programs.
Here Comes George!
George and his mate for life, Georgina, live on the shores of Hood Canal, Belfair, Washington. They have a close relationship with the Scott family, living their seagull life on the family beach, raft, and front yard. Spending time on the deck allows them to participate in human activity, even, on occasion entering the home for morning coffee, and maybe peeking into the refrigerator.Once a year, George and the other gulls leave for the coast to raise chicks and then return to reclaim their beach, scavenging for food, preening, and mostly being gulls. Only a gull like George is lucky enough to receive presents and a surprise birthday party!A portion of the proceeds will directly support the Salmon Center's education programs.
